Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years experience in haircutting & coloring (actively working in the industry)
• Strong knowledge of color theory & cutting techniques
• A California Cosmetology License is required
• Excellent time management & communication skills
• Experience with Aveda products is a plus!
• Confident in barbering & shear-cutting techniques
• Up-to-date on trends & hair color innovations
• A self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic
• Passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide an Outstanding Client Experience by Educating guests on hair services, styling techniques, and product recommendations to ensure they leave feeling confident and informed.
• Recommend Professional Products. Guide clients in selecting Aveda products to help them maintain their looks and extend their salon experience at home.
• Maintain a Clean and hygienic Work Area. Ensure all tools, equipment, and workstations are sanitized and organized to uphold high salon standards.
• Stay Up to Date with Industry Trends. Improve your skills by learning the latest styling techniques, color trends, and Aveda product knowledge.
• Engage in Ongoing Training. Take advantage of Therapy Salon and Aveda’s professional development programs to enhance your expertise and career growth.
• Be Receptive to Feedback. Apply coaching from management and senior team members to refine techniques and improve overall performance.
• Maintain Client Records. Accurate records of services provided will help personalize future visits and build long-term client relationships.
• Contribute to Salon Cleanliness and Organization – Assist with daily maintenance and assigned cleaning duties to keep the salon welcoming and pristine.
• Foster a Positive Team Culture. Collaborate with colleagues in a respectful, professional, and team-oriented environment to ensure a supportive workplace.
