Dear Students,

Welcome to Cosmotek College and the Cosmotek family. You are joining more than a school—you are becoming part of a community committed to learning, growth, professionalism, and supporting one another.

Our goal is not simply to help you complete your required hours and earn a license. You are here to build a career. We want you to develop real-world skills, confidence, professionalism, independence, and the mindset to create a successful future for yourself. Every class, practice, model, client, mistake, and accomplishment is part of that journey.

Your state professional license is a lifetime investment. We expect you to stay committed and complete your program on time. After graduation, we encourage you to take your State Board exam as soon as possible and begin the next chapter of your professional career.

During your first two weeks, you may feel a little lost. You are adjusting to a new environment, instructors, classmates, routines, and expectations. That is part of beginning something new. We will place you in a freshman group, and our staff will provide step-by-step guidance and check in with you regularly until you become more comfortable and confident.

Please communicate with us. If you need additional support, talk with your instructors and staff, Devin, or the Principal directly. We want you to ask questions, seek guidance, and take an active role in your education.

We also want you to start building your career from week one—not after graduation. Create professional TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages and begin documenting your journey. Show your pages to your instructors and mentors and ask for feedback.

Your classmates can become your first models and your first professional network. Every service gives you an opportunity to document the before, the process, and the after. One model can become three pieces of content while helping you build your portfolio at the same time.

Practice with one another. Trade services with students in other departments. Connect with future cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, nail professionals, and other beauty professionals. Support each other’s work and expand your network. The person sitting beside you today may become a salon owner, spa owner, educator, business partner, or someone who refers clients to you years from now.

Our goal is for you to leave Cosmotek with more than a license. We want you to graduate with real skills, confidence, a professional portfolio, a growing network, and the foundation to become an independent professional, future business owner, or leader in the beauty industry.
